New Roundup Lawsuit Filed in Delaware
In a recent development in Delaware state court, a new Roundup lawsuit has emerged, this time brought forth by a professional arborist with over two decades of experience in the field. Throughout his career, the arborist extensively utilized Roundup herbicide for various tasks, such as clearing undesirable turf and weeds, as well as preparing areas for new turf and maintaining flower beds around trees. Not only did he apply Roundup for clients, but also on his personal property, employing Roundup concentrate mixed with water and sprayed using handheld and backpack sprayers, thus regularly exposing his skin to the chemical.
In February 2023, the arborist received a diagnosis of Cutaneous T Cell Lymphoma, a form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, which subsequently led to significant and debilitating physical injuries resulting from both the disease itself and its treatments. Throughout this challenging period, his wife has been his primary caregiver, with his children also deeply affected by his condition.
The family initially found the diagnosis perplexing, given the arborist’s young age and the absence of any family history of the disease. However, they later discerned that his prolonged exposure to Roundup was likely the root cause of his cancer.
This lawsuit contributes to the escalating number of Roundup-related cases making their way through the Delaware state court system.
