Modest Growth Continues in Hair Relaxer MDL
Despite a slight uptick compared to the previous month, April marked another period of sluggish growth for the hair relaxer class action MDL. Only 81 new cases were added to the MDL last month, a marginal increase from the 53 cases reported in March.
This modest growth contrasts starkly with the surge experienced less than a year ago when the MDL witnessed an influx of 3,000 new cases in a single month. The current total number of cases stands at 8,468, reflecting the cumulative volume of litigation within the MDL.
While the pace of new case filings remains subdued, it underscores a notable shift from the earlier rapid expansion seen in the hair relaxer MDL.
