Plaintiffs are challenging the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) request to delay responding to discovery, emphasizing the need to adhere to the court’s instructions for a speedy trial process. The dispute centers on the supplementation of critical documents related to Track 1 Plaintiffs’ claims, including military, VA, and medical records.

Despite the plaintiffs’ flexibility and the DOJ’s awareness of the requests since early October, the government’s non-compliance has led to formal court intervention. The plaintiffs are urging the court to deny the DOJ’s request for an eight-month extension, highlighting the need for prompt and thorough compliance with discovery obligations to ensure fair and timely trials.
