On April 23rd, plaintiffs’ lawyers opposed the DOJ’s request to delay responding to discovery, emphasizing their commitment to expediting trials. They argue that the Government’s initial response was non-cooperative, failing to produce crucial documents for the Plaintiffs’ claims, including military, VA, and medical records.

Despite efforts to resolve these issues without court intervention, the Government’s non-compliance has led the Plaintiffs to formally request court-enforced supplementation. Given the Plaintiffs’ flexibility and the Government’s awareness of these requests since early October, they contend that further delays are unjustified and hinder their trial preparation.
